Freebie Friday

Everyone loves freebies and we thought our users would probably love to get some free files for uMake to help them take their designs further, so we are introducing Freebie Friday. Every Friday uMake will post a few uMake files that you can download and use for free in uMake. Hopefully they will help you take your designs further.

This thread will be where you can find all of the freebies we share. The comments will be locked to help keep the thread clean and organized, however there is a separate topic for comments, requests and replies.

We are excited about this and hope you are too! Be sure to check out the tutorial video below which will help walk you through the process of downloading and using UMK files.

Here are the first four Freebies in our Freebie Friday series. We are providing a set of wheels, the surfaced hot rod, a Light Saber, and the surfaced shoe we created in our two part tutorial. Feel free to remix these, play with them, learn from them as you want. Enjoy.

In the second Freebie Friday we are giving away some seats for you to integrate in your models. One office chair for architectural applications, and one buckets seat for you to integrate in your vehicular applications. We hope you enjoy and find them useful. Feel free to check out the tutorial at the top of this post to learn how to download and use UMK files.

In our third #freebieFriday we ware giving out our surfaced head and another set of sunglasses that you may find useful. Both models were created for you to use and have fun with-- free free to modify them or model on top of them, or use them to test in other software programs. Enjoy.

In our fourth #FreebieFriday we will literally let you drive the Sketch. Download our Vehicle platform file which includes a 95th Percentile Oscar, 4 Wheels with Disc Brakes and two front seats to start your vehicle. This is a great template to start from. If you create something awesome please share it with us and use the hashtag #uMake.

Our fifth #FreebieFriday brings you the helmet sketch along with the surfaced head included in the model. Use this as a base to create your own helmets or accessory designs. Have fun and enjoy.  Feel free to share your creation with us on our Facebook page.

Our Sixth #FreebieFriday is a variation on the vehicle platform we gave out a few weeks ago, in which we made a pickup. This is a base sketch meant for users to play around and have fun with, and take it to the next level. It is far from complete but if you want to modify it, or complete it, please do and share what you do with us! Enjoy!

Everyone loves flowers and the topic came up in our office this past week on how to 3D sketch some flowers, so we went ahead and did a tutorial and are now giving away a nice set of them as well. Enjoy some 3D sketched flowers in this weeks #FreebieFriday.

Aaaand we are back with another #FreebieFriday. In celebration of Version 1.0.11 I've literally 'spun' a couple sets of bottles using the new axis snapping for revolved surfaces. You can use these for reference, or for anything you'd like. They are quite simple but we thought they were fun as well.

Enjoy.

This week is a great week to celebrate flight! With Drone challenges going and the re-launch of the Solar Impulse solar powered plane, we had some fun with flying machines. And to that end, we did a tutorial on Propellers, so here is a propeller pack that may help you start out if you model a flying machine. Enjoy.

This past week kicked off with a video of us re-creating the famous Eames Lounge Chair in uMake. So we thought we would finish the week off with giving you the actual model we made. Use it in your projects or to design around. Enjoy.
