Line Transparency / Opacity / Sketch experience

So I'm a pro user and I use umake for creating sketch underlays. Nice app! I'd like to see umake have translucent / non 100% opaque lines... Not layer opacity but lines that when drawn, come out at a specific opacity. This would allow a build up effect...which is what you generally want when drawing /sketching. As I use an apple pencil, what I really want is for the the pencil to dictate line opacity...not line thickness...but line opacity. As it currently stands all lines drawn are 100% opaque. Yes, there is the option to change the shade/hue of a line but there is no way to change the line opacity. I want to SKETCH in 3d...NOT MODEL in 3d. Tons of programs let you model... No programs let you sketch / draw in 3D. The only thing that comes close to real 3D line sketching is Catia natural sketch . This is where umake has a real opportunity to do something that has never been done before. Here are my current suggestions (in order of importance): Specifics: Stage 1: Add an option to disable the autocorrecting line feature. This is very important. As it currently stands I have to hit the undo button every single time I draw a line to see what the line is that I actually drew...very frustrating/time consuming. I know that I can manipulate the cvs of any line which is great but... It is very time consuming. I want to sketch! Lol Stage 2: Add LINE OPACITY. The LINE WEIGHT is already executed well within the app... Beginning of stroke is thin...middle of stroke is thick...end of stroke is thin again... Perfect and Well done. Now all that we need is variable LINE OPACITY more specifically OPACITY based on pressure sensitivity. i have more requests but that's overwhelming enough for now.:) cheers and keep it up. As it currently stands and I think that it would be great if umake could ha

Hey Matt, Not sure if you nodded off before hitting the send button but I'll address your main concerns.

In the upcoming version of uMake, opacity is a bit part of it. We added opacity to surfaces as well as layers. I know it is not what you want exactly, but it is a start. I fully understand the idea of using the pressure of the pen to dictate line opacity and think it is something we could do. We are moving into a few weeks where we are working on more back end stuff so that we can bring better experiences in the future, but I'll make sure to get this feature on our request list. With regards to the auto-correcting, this is definitely a setting I understand and one we will consider as we update the interface.

I will be proactive as well and let you know that quick snapping tools are coming as well so you can toggle the snapping functions without having to enter/ exit the edit functions all the time.

The feature request list is quite big currently, and we are getting started. Since november we have released 8 versions of the app, and brought features like layers, advanced snapping, more export functions, better curve edit features, and better surface handling. Feedback like yours is very helpful and we are really excited to continue the development of uMake and make this a great app.

So  on that note, what are your next requests?
